We're Hiring: Electrical Design Engineer Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer ready to take ownership of projects that truly make an impact?We're looking for a driven professional with proven experience in LV and/or HV distribution systems to join our growing team. If you thrive on delivering practical, buildable designs in live environments - this could be your next move.The RoleYou'll play a key role in the end-to-end development and delivery of electrical designs, working across:Energy centresTransformersCHP systemsSolar PVStandby generationHeat pumpsDNO electricity distribution connectionsFrom analysis and concept design through to installation, commissioning, and O&M, you'll take ownership of projects that deliver real-world energy and carbon savings.You'll collaborate closely with mechanical and controls engineers, support energy audits with practical solutions, and ensure designs are safe, compliant, and deliverable within live operational environments.What You'll Be DoingDeveloping outline and detailed electrical designsReviewing consultant and subcontractor specificationsManaging client approvals and third-party complianceLiaising with District Network Operators (DNOs)Ensuring compliance with ENA Engineering Recommendations (P28, P29, G5, G99, G100)Leading technical discussions to resolve complex challengesSupporting sustainable, efficient systems of workParticipating in site surveys, inspections, and stakeholder meetingsManaging projects, people, and resourcesWhat We're Looking ForBSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering3-5+ years' commercial experience, ideally within Energy/SME environments in live buildingsStrong experience with LV/HV systems, transformers, CHP, solar PV, heat pumps, on-site generation & protectionKnowledge of CIBSE, HTMs, HBNs, BS 7671, Building RegulationsExperience working with ENA Engineering RecommendationsWhy Join Us?Work on cutting-edge energy and sustainability projectsDeliver solutions that reduce carbon and improve efficiencyTake ownership of technically challenging, high-impact projectsBe part of a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering teamIf you're ready to lead, innovate, and design systems that power a more sustainable future - we want to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
