We are currently recruiting for a skilled Electrical Day Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider at a prestigious commercial office site in the heart of Mayfair. This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer looking to advance their career within a professional and supportive environment.
As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems on-site. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, your duties will include both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault-finding across the building.
What’s on Offer Competitive salary of £48,000 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Generous overtime available Pension scheme & healthcare benefits Ongoing training and career development Positive and collaborative team culture Strong career progression opportunitiesKey Responsibilities Perform daily PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems Maintain and service lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and fire alarm systems Fault finding, testing, and repair of electrical plant and equipment Attend and resolve emergency callouts in line with KPIs and SLAs Carry out minor fabric and basic mechanical tasks where required Manage tools, materials, and parts required for maintenance activities Supervise subcontractors and ensure work quality and compliance Support the Lead Engineer and Account Manager with statutory compliance Ensure maintenance schedules and operational targets are consistently metRequirements Recognised City & Guilds Electrical Qualification (or equivalent) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential) Proven experience in electrical building maintenance within commercial environments Prior experience in a shift-based engineering role Willingness to join a 1-in-4 call-out rota Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledgeThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company offering a stable and rewarding career path, with ongoing support for your professional development.
