Role - Electrical Controls & Automation Engineer Location - Leeds, Wes Yorkshire Salary - £59k + up to 10% annual bonus subject to performance Hours of work – Monday to Thursday 8-5pm & every Fridays 4pm finish Other benefits – 5% employer pension + x4 death in service + private health care + 35days annual leave The Client - Market leader in Manufacturing through Process engineering, multi-million-pound turnover business, with significant multi-million-pound CAPEX and related automation investment. The Role of the Electrical Controls & Automation Engineer:Due to significant investment and automation activities on a large, world-class manufacturing site, my client are in search for a PLC-biased Electrical Controls & automation Engineer to be based at the Leeds site as the first line automation support. The electrical and controls automation engineer will be utilising their expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and maintenance to optimize manufacturing processes, all whilst be hands on to provide emergency maintenance support as and when required. You will lead process improvements by collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and enhance plant performance. Key Responsibilities of Electrical Controls & Automation Engineer: Work with Programmable systems including HMI, SCADA, Servo Drives, IX developerDevelop and implement projects to drive improvement in manufacturing availabilityNew installations, including the programming of softwareWork with management team to contribute to key improvement projectsProactive in detecting, reporting, diagnosing and predicting potential or existing software and electronic issues on all equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot complex machine faults to reduce downtime Requirements & Qualifications – Electrical Controls Engineer Hold a NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship in Electrical EngineeringStrong background in PLC systems and HMI softwareAutomation/controls apprentice trained post minimum 5 years experieince within a process FMCG environmentExperience in fault finding on industrial communication networksExperience with design and modifications of systemsAbility to implement programmes and modify on a range of PLC/SCADA systems What's on offer - Electrical Controls & Automation Engineer: Upto 10% company bonusCompetitive salary of £59kDays based position – perfect if you are looking to move away from shifts35days annual leave Candidates who are currently a PLC Engineer, PLC programmer, Electrical Engineer, Controls Technician, Controls Automation Engineer, may be suitable for this position.ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
