Opportunity: iO Associates GD&S have partnered up with an established organisation who are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Consultant to join a dynamic, agile delivery team working on innovative central government projects. This is a critical role where the successful candidate will take the lead in embedding both manual and automated testing practices across the full software development life cycle. Key responsibilities: Design and implement robust automated test frameworks across UI and API layers Conduct manual and exploratory testing where appropriate Leverage a range of open-source testing tools and frameworks Embed testing best practices (TDD, BDD, ATDD) into CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, and analysts Continuously improve the test architecture and QA processes Support non-functional testing, including performance, security, accessibility, and operational acceptance Participate in QA guilds and contribute to internal knowledge sharing Essential Skills & Experience: Strong background in manual and automation testing Proven expertise in Selenium and Java
