Editorial Assistant, Wales - Home based, UK

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Editorial Assistant to join our Education team and contribute to our work supporting science education in Wales. This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2028.

This exciting opportunity is funded by a recent grant from the Welsh Government and focuses on improving access to high-quality chemistry education through the development and delivery of Welsh-language teaching resources and professional development materials.

As Editorial Assistant, you will play a key role in overseeing the collation, translation, and publication of these resources. You will also provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth programme delivery, including reporting, meeting coordination, inbox and data management and support for financial processes.

This role is ideal for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for science education.

At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. This is a home-based role with the requirement to travel throughout Wales for in-person meetings and collaboration with our Welsh teams as needed.
