The school is now looking for an Economics Teacher to join their team on an ASAP start basis.\n\nAs an Economics Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students' understanding of key economic principles, theories, and real-world applications.
You will teach across Key Stages 4 and 5, preparing students for exams and helping them develop critical thinking and analytical skills that will benefit them in their future careers.\n\nThe Role:\nAs an Economics Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students explore economic concepts, including market structures, supply and demand, fiscal policy, and economic growth. You will guide students through exam preparation and support their independent learning, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed at GCSE and A-Level.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPlan and deliver high-quality Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5 (with the possibility of teaching other year groups based on school needs)\n\nCreate engaging and interactive lessons that help students understand and apply economic principles in real-world contexts\n\nProvide guidance and support for exam preparation, including essay writing, case studies, and data analysis\n\nTrack and assess student progress, offering regular feedback to help students improve their academic performance\n\nFoster a passion for Economics, encouraging critical thinking, debate, and exploration of global economic issues\n\nCollaborate with the department to develop and enhance the Economics curriculum\n\nMaintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated and supported\n\nEnsure effective classroom management and follow the school’s behaviour policies\n\nParticipate in extracurricular activities, such as Economics clubs, to further engage students outside of the classroom\n\nCommunicate effectively with parents, staff, and students to ensure the academic success and wellbeing of students\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nQTS or equivalent teaching qualification (or relevant experience in teaching Economics)\n\nA degree or qualification in Economics, Business, or a related field\n\nProven experience teaching Economics at the secondary school level, with strong subject knowledge\n\nPassion for Economics and a genuine desire to inspire students and help them achieve their best\n\nStrong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills\n\nA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students\n\nA current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)\n\nWhat the School Offers:\n\nCompetitive pay: MPS/UPS or a daily rate, depending on experience and contract type\n\nProfessional Development: Access to ongoing CPD to support your growth as an educator\n\nA supportive and collaborative school environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement\n\nProgression opportunities within the Economics department and school leadership roles\n\nModern facilities: Well-equipped classrooms and teaching resources\n\nA commitment to work-life balance with full school holidays and staff wellbeing initiatives\n\nPersonal support: Dedicated consultant throughout your placement, ensuring you have ongoing support\n\nHow to Apply:\nIf you are an enthusiastic Economics Teacher with the passion to inspire and engage students, we would love to hear from you.\n\nTo apply, visit or click the ‘Apply Now’ button.
