iO Associates are partnered with a growing Software Development company in their search for 2x Azure Solution Architects with active DV Clearance and deep expertise in Azure infrastructure design, IaC skills, and DevOps methodologies to support defence-oriented technology deployments and cutting-edge platform integrations.

You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimising secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments, while integrating novel technologies into production systems.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 (depending on seniority, +stock options)
Location: Hereford (1-2 days / week on-site)
Clearance: Active DV Clearance required

Key Skills:

• Azure architecture, engineering, and DevOps
• IaC (Terraform/Bicep), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Networking (VPNs, firewalls, routing)
• Containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Go (or strong Python, willing to learn Go)
• Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication
• Experience with secure/defence environments preferred
• Azure certifications are highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Lead Azure Landing Zone architecture and governance.
• Mentor engineering team and drive continuous improvement.
• Design secure, scalable, cost-effective Azure solutions.
• Own architecture decisions and stakeholder engagement.
• Deploy infrastructure using IaC (Bicep, Terraform).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Integrate emerging tech into legacy/hybrid environments.
• Drive monitoring, capacity planning, and cost control.
• Coordinate with partners and vendors on secure solutions.
