Design & Technology Teacher - Romford

We are looking for an enthusiastic and student-centred

Design & Technology Teacher

to join a dynamic secondary school in Romford. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about helping young people develop confidence, creativity, and practical problem-solving skills through hands-on learning. About the Role: You will play a key role in shaping students' learning experiences by delivering engaging, inclusive, and practical lessons that bring Design & Technology to life. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with opportunities at KS5), supporting students of all abilities to explore, design, and create. A strong emphasis is placed on: Encouraging

independent thinking and creativity Supporting students through the

design process

from concept to final product Building

resilience and confidence

through practical challenges Preparing students for

GCSE coursework and examinations Student Impact & Responsibilities: Plan and deliver lessons that are

interactive, hands-on, and accessible

to all learners Differentiate teaching to support a wide range of abilities, including SEND and high-achieving students Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve their designs and technical skills Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom/workshop environment Inspire students to consider future pathways in

engineering, design, and creative industries Monitor student progress closely and intervene where needed to ensure every student succeeds Key Skills & Qualities: A genuine commitment to
