What's involved in becoming a driving instructor?

To become a driving instructor you have 3 parts to complete:

Part 1 : theory test

Part 2 : practical driving test

Part 3 : instructional ability test.

You need to know that the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) insists you will need:

A full UK licence (or approved foreign licence) for at least 3 1/2 years.

To have not been banned from driving in the last 4 years.

To have no more than 6 points on your licence.

To be a 'fit and proper' person (in the eyes of the DVSA).
