Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Drainage Engineer to join a growing team in a field-based, client-facing role covering London and the South East. This role involves attending both domestic and commercial properties to diagnose and resolve drainage issues while delivering a high standard of service and professionalism on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Attend both emergency and scheduled drainage call-outs
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve drainage issues using CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting, rods, and other specialist equipment
Carry out drain clearance, descaling, root cutting, patch lining, and minor excavation work
Communicate directly with customers to explain issues and recommended solutions
Identify opportunities for additional remedial work where appropriate
Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
Maintain high service standards and contribute positively to the company’s reputation
Participate in an on-call rota to support 24/7 service delivery
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ drainage experience (essential)
Strong customer service and communication skills
HPWJ certification preferred
Plumbing knowledge and/or drainage tanker experience (desirable)
Full, clean UK driving licence
CSCS card preferred
Comfortable using mobile devices and job management apps xbpsjku on-site
Compliance
Candidates must be willing to undergo Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing in line with company and client requirements
A DBS check may be required due to the nature of work at certain sites
What’s on Offer
£16 – £19 per hour, depending on experience
