We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. *Responsibilities*
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
* Provide dementia care, offering support and companionship to clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
* Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
* Perform first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
* Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when required, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring they have access to essential services.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members.
*Skills*
* Proven experience in home care or a similar role is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
* Ability to provide compassionate dementia care, understanding the unique needs of individuals with memory impairments.
* Excellent meal preparation skills, with an emphasis on healthy eating practices.
* Proficiency in first aid techniques and emergency response procedures.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining client dignity.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing for clear interaction with clients and their families.
* A caring attitude coupled with patience and empathy towards clients from diverse backgrounds.
