Director of Product - REMOTE WORK

Role Purpose
As the director for the product, you will develop a team of modellers, researchers, product managers, market experts, and sales executives to form the operating model for product growth.
This is a high-priority role within the Ricardo organization, and as such would suit someone with expert knowledge of the wholesale electricity and power market across Europe, experience in delivering and managing product businesses and KPIs/P&Ls, plus foundational knowledge of medium to long-term projections modelling concepts and software.
Key Responsibilities
# Leadership: Youll balance the delivery of subscription product commercial plans and projects with leading, coaching, and inspiring teams of analysts and energy modellers, exemplifying Ricardos values, improving performance, and developing their full potential.
# Project delivery: Develop a clear understanding of target markets and customers to define the medium- and long-term strategic direction of the product. Oversee the implementation and management of multiple regions, providing internal and external stakeholders with the necessary orientation to achieve business objectives.
# Market knowledge: Have an expert understanding of electricity and power markets. Use this knowledge to create industry content and presence, gaining thought leadership recognition to further the growth of the subscription product.
# Developing new business: Contribute to building and deepening customer and market relationships across Europe. Act as the face of the brand, effectively serving as the internal CEO of the product.
Key Competencies and Experience
Drive and passion to achieve the introduction, growth, and scaling of a new business, with commercial acumen to meet business and product targets.
Extensive experience in delivering complex products/services within the power sector and wholesale electricity markets.
Strong financial management skills, managing trade-offs between costs and revenue targets.
Collaborative and empathetic leadership style, inspiring and developing teams.
Ability to create high-quality products with analytics and modelling, and to clearly present insights.
Native English speaker or mother-tongue level proficiency.
