Sowena Group is partnering with a high-growth, manufacturing business backed by private equity and operating across a multi-site footprint. As the organisation continues to scale and professionalise, they are seeking a commercially driven Director of Finance to play a central role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening operational performance, and supporting value creation.This appointment will report to the CFO and sit as a key member of the senior leadership team, acting as a strategic adviser to the executive and a hands-on leader across the finance function. The role offers significant scope to influence decision-making, embed best practice, and support the business through its next phase of growth.The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation alongside a pragmatic, commercially focused mindset, and will be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, performance-oriented environment. Applications are also encouraged from high-calibre senior finance leaders who are ready to step up into their 1st Director level role.Key AccountabilitiesProvide strategic leadership of the finance function across a multi-site manufacturing operation, ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and compliance.Act as a trusted business partner to operations, commercial, and supply chain teams to improve profitability, cost control, and site-level performance.Own the end-to-end planning cycle, including budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial modelling aligned to growth and investment plans.Lead cash management, working capital optimisation, and funding requirements, maintaining strong relationships with banking partners.Manage foreign currency exposure and oversee appropriate risk mitigation and hedging strategies.Develop and refine costing and margin analysis, delivering insightful variance reporting to support operational decision-making.Oversee statutory reporting and close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP.Ensure robust compliance across all tax obligations, including corporation tax, VAT, and employment-related taxes.Maintain oversight of payroll operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory adherence.Enhance internal controls, governance structures, and risk management frameworks in line with private equity expectations.Sponsor finance systems and ERP development, driving data integrity and improved management information.Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team, embedding a culture of accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement.Support the Group CFO, board, and investors with high-quality reporting, strategic analysis, and value creation initiatives.Candidate ProfileFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role within manufacturing or FMCG, .Proven background in multi-site operations.Strong commercial judgement with the ability to challenge, influence, and collaborate at senior level.Confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience within a private equity-backed environment is highly desirable.This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at a transformative stage of its journey, offering both challenge and long-term career potential.For further information or a confidential discussion, please contact Gemma Quaye or Perran Cooke at Sowena Group, or submit your application directly. #J-18808-Ljbffr
