Role Overview Carrington West is assisting a local authority client in the Midlands to recruit a Development Management Planning Team Leader on an initial 6‑month contract (then rolling). Responsibilities

Line‑manage five staff members. Hold delegated authority for decisions on planning applications and manage an own small caseload. Process a wide range of planning applications, including major commercial and residential developments. Lead during planning committee meetings and engage with members.

Qualifications

Experienced consultant with recent track record of processing a wide range of planning applications. Experience in a similar position is necessary. Post‑graduate degree in planning, regeneration or related discipline is beneficial. Eligibility for membership of the RTPI.

Compensation

Approx £60‑65 per hour (DOE). Job Ref – 66202.
