Desktop & Infrastructure Support Analyst

The Opportunity:
We're working with a company in the Fareham / Gosport area who are looking to hire a Desktop & Infrastructure Support Analyst. They've recently hired a new Head of IT whose remit is to modernise IT / Technology within the business. There's lots to do so it's going to be a really interesting role and you'll play a key role in that transformation from a mixed on-prem / cloud environment to a more modern tech stack.
The Role:
The team are a key support service within the business and they're moving from being a reactive support function to a really proactive rapid response team who have positive relationships with staff across the business and are seen as real enablers of change and enable those staff to excel in their roles.
Your responsibilities will include:
- 1st and 2nd Line Support to a user base of circa 200-300 staff
- Record, log and action all support calls via a Helpdesk System
- Provide User Support on key business systems - e.g. ERP / Financial Software, Order Management Applications, Logistic Applications
- Take an active work key projects that include - modernisation to Azure / Cloud, M365, Intune, EntraID etc - please note this is an ongoing project and there are a range of legacy / older technologies that are being phased out but that you'll need to work with
- Provide PC and Hardware Support replacing spare parts, upgrading and dealing with warranty claims
- Provide user training and assistance
- Installation, upgrades and replacement of IT kit, and carry out office moves
The Person:
The ideal person will have good commercial experience providing 1st and 2nd line support. You'll have an appreciation of modern cloud technologies but be attracted by the prospect of joining an organisation where you can play a really important role as they modernise and transform.
Tech skills to include some of: Azure, Windows, Office365, Intune, Helpdesk systems such as ServiceNow or Jira, Linux, Desktop / Application, Business Systems such as SAP / ERP, CRM, Finance Software. The role is based near Fareham / Gosport in Hampshire and the requirement is for the person to be onsite in the office with potential travel to other sites.
