We are looking to recruit an additional Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our team at South West ALP & Mentoring.
Working across the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas you will be part of an ever growing team working with young people in Primary, Secondary and Post 16 learning and mentoring.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is a crucial role in safeguarding children and young people. Key responsibilities include:
Lead Responsibility: The DSL is responsible for ensuring appropriate arrangements for child protection and welfare are in place and adhered to at all times and manage and support DDSLs.
Support and Training: They provide guidance and support to staff on safeguarding matters, ensuring they understand procedures and training requirements. Being proactive in educating staff and children around risks and harm.
Reporting & Monitoring: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all safeguarding concerns both internally and externally and monitor trends in safeguarding concerns to provide interventions to pupils.
