Senior Design Manager - £100m+ Scheme - Central London

Are you an experienced Design Manager with a strong construction background, ready to lead on one of Central London’s most complex and high-profile schemes?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor known for delivering technically challenging, large-scale projects across the capital. They’re now seeking a permanent Senior Design Manager to join their team and take the lead on a £100m+ scheme involving significant cut and carve, heavy structural alterations, and detailed design coordination.

The Candidate: Has a background in construction delivery - previously worked as a Site Manager or Project Manager, now thriving in Design Management. Brings experience from major main contractors, with a solid portfolio of London-based schemes over £60m. Is highly confident managing complex packages, coordinating consultants and subcontractors, and solving technical challenges on-site. Is proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working closely with project teams and senior leadership. Confident in monitoring and managing design programmes, ensuring design deliverables meet construction deadlines.
