To assist the Design Manager in coordinating the consultant team in the development of the detailed design, ensuring the design is fully coordinated and complies the United Infrastructures requirements and current regulations, to achieve the necessary approvals and enable a start on site in line with agreed programmes.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate technical and design processes, design teams and subcontractors throughout detail design, procurement and construction, monitoring progress to ensure delivery on time and in budgetTechnical design coordination of schemes, in accordance with agreed programme, ensuring company targets are met and that the maximum revenue is generated by the quality, cost effectiveness and buildability of the designAssisting Design Manager with reviewing of consultants detail design drawings and subcontractor designsCoordinating consultants and their deliverables driving a high standardEnsuring that designs comply with Company’s standardsPromoting design that respects budgetary constraintsProviding support to Design Manager on job runningEnsuring fully complete, correct and coordinated packages issued to Commercial and Construction teamsMaintaining and delivering in accordance with Company valuesManaging subcontractor and supplier design approvals ensuring timely turnaroundMonitoring subcontractor design approvals and keep up dated approvals schedule in line with build programmeManaging the flow of information to Commercial, Operations and ClientUpdating and coordinating monthly design schedulesReviewing and coordinating design and technical related issues with the Commercial and Operations teamsManaging change control process for variations in relation to drawing revisions, construction programmes and costsMonitoring and obtaining all critical certificates to ensure documentation is in place for completion and handoversCollating all required information and liaising with Planning Authorities and Building Control to make submissions and obtaining all necessary approvals as requiredEnsuring all documents are correctly available for the Document ControllerManaging the processing of information through workflows on the document management systemEnsuring current drawings are filed in order and design information exchange is as per the company protocolUndertaking site visits as requiredAttending site meetings and monthly/weekly project meetingsPrinciple design and technical contact during construction worksMonitoring work executed on site to ensure that is as benchmarked and as designed/specifiedManaging, investigating and responding promptly with full close out to RFIs from site team and subcontractorsReviewing and advising on corrective measures for identified design issuesCompiling H&S files and O&M manualsAt all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructionsComply with responsibilities as laid down in the group’s health, safety and environmental policyQualificationsEssentialThorough with a pro-active management styleAbility to prioritise as appropriate, motivate and communicate in order to influence others to ensure that the required objectives are metAn analytical approach to work with an eye for detailLeadership skills including being decisive, flexible, good time management, organised, effective, works well under pressure and to strict deadlinesAbility to review drawings and identify buildability and technical issuesProject and process managementProblem solving and decision makingDesign delivery and assessing risksEffective communication with all levels of management and project teams, both internal and external to the CompanyProven track record of design coordinationMinimum relevant Level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc.)Up to date relevant construction industry knowledge including legislation and proceduresValid driving licenceKnowledge of methodology and sequencing process in delivering a construction project including design and pre-construction activitiesRelevant Design and Build experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsDesirablePassionate about construction and customer satisfaction, with a focus on high standards and excellenceProven track record of design requirements for procurement and construction purposesIn depth knowledge of contractual requirements and section agreements and utility application processTenacious and drivenStrong practical knowledge of construction work types, methods and design solutionsExperience with CAD (AutoCAD or Revit)Knowledge & understanding of BIMMember of relevant professional body (e.g. CIOB, CIAT, or RICS)Experience of Building Safety Act relevant worksExperience of retrofit worksWhat’s In It For YouCompetitive salary with great benefits that recognize your expertiseA dynamic role with clear career progression in a company that\'s growing fastPlaying a key role in revitalizing communities and contributing to sustainable infrastructure #J-18808-Ljbffr
