DESIGN MANAGER REQUIRED ON PERMANENT BASIS IN BIRMINGHAM FOR A MAIN CONTRACTOR\n\nI am assisting my client with an exciting opportunity for a Design Manager to join a leading main contractor. The business undertakes projects in various sectors including Commercial, Refurbs, Cut and Carves with values ranging between £10m and £30m \n\nAs Design Manager you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure their safe completion, in accordance with programme, specification, and budget.\n\nSalary: £50,000 - £70,000 + Package\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOversee design processes during pre-construction and, when necessary, construction phases. Analyse and interpret Employer's Requirements documents.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive Contractor's Proposals.\nCoordinate and supervise external design consultants\nImplement innovative and cost-effective design solutions.\nEnsure timely delivery of design information and resolve issues within strict deadlines.\nParticipate in tender launches, adjudications, and project initiation meetings as neededIdeal Candidate Profile - We're seeking a Design Manager with:\n\nProven experience in managing complex, high-value design projects from a main contractor's perspective.\nStrong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple workloads effectively.\nIn-depth knowledge of Building Regulations and Planning Permission processes.\nA keen sense of commercial awareness.\nFamiliarity with various client procurement methods.\nPreferably, experience with on-site operations and contract procedures.\nThis role is ideal for professionals who excel in coordinating intricate design processes, driving innovation, and ensuring project success within the construction industry.If you are a Design Manager and are open to an initial chat please do not hesitate to reach out
