Job Overview Were looking for a Deputy Manager to help us regenerate and rebuild The Bull Hotel in Fairford! A wonderful, charismatic coaching inn right on the edge of the beautiful Cotswold Water Park. Our ideal candidate would be committed to developing others and contributing to a supportive, growth-driven team culture. They will bring confident, experienced leadership that inspires, encourages and builds confidence enabling the hotel to truly flourish. They will pair this with strong people skills, hands-on operational know-how, and a genuine passion for great guest experiences. As second in command to the General Manager, theyll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the site and overseeing departments

keeping operations of the business running smooth, guiding the assistant manager, driving revenue, and upholding our high standards. Were all about serving fantastic food and drink, offering cosy, comfortable accommodation, and making sure every guest enjoys a wonderful experience with us. Duties Assisting with daily operations, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Supervising departments, including managing rotas and handling performance. Actively promoting and expanding venue facilities, special promotions, and services to drive revenue Overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of private and corporate events, weddings, and conferences Stable communication and monitoring with different departments to establish positive relationships and increase mutual understanding of company strategies Lead, mentor, and assist training staff to boost performance and upselling opportunities. Support in managing P&L, stock control, and achieving budgetary goals Collaborate with the management team to develop promotional activities and improve service delivery. Qualifications 2+ years of managerial experience in hotel/food & beverage roles P&L awareness Proficient with IT systems Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service orientation. Health & safety compliance (HACCP/COSHH) knowledge essential Hold a Personal License is desirable but not essential
