Rate: £29.93 – £31.35 per hour
Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel to schools required)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Deputy Education Entitlement Team Coordinator to support the operational leadership of its Education Entitlement Team (EET). This is a key leadership position focused on ensuring that children and young people who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, or without a school place receive timely, appropriate, and high-quality education.
You will play a central role in leading a team of Learning Mentors, managing complex and high-risk cases, and working collaboratively with schools, alternative provision settings, SENDAR, safeguarding teams, and wider multi-agency partners. This role offers the opportunity to influence inclusive practice across the county, contribute to system-wide improvement, and ensure statutory responsibilities are consistently met. It is both a challenging and rewarding position with a direct impact on outcomes for vulnerable learners.
Key Responsibilities
Support the leadership and management of the Education Entitlement Team
Provide supervision, guidance, and performance management to Learning Mentors
Oversee complex and high-risk cases, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
Work collaboratively with schools, alternative provision, SEND services, and safeguarding partners
Contribute to the development of inclusive practices across Warwickshire
Ensure compliance with statutory duties relating to education entitlement and exclusions
Analyse data and provide insight to support decision-making and service improvement
Key Requirements
Proven experience in leading and managing staff, including supervision, workload allocation, and performance management
Significant experience working with vulnerable children and young people, particularly those at risk of exclusion or without a school place
Strong knowledge of statutory guidance relating to exclusions, education entitlement, safeguarding, and SEND
Ability to build effective partnerships and influence stakeholders across education and multi-agency settings
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Confidence to challenge constructively and make sound operational decisions
