Mission
As Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high culinary standards. You will take ownership of your section, ensuring smooth service, quality food preparation, and full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, while contributing to a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence
Oversee and manage your assigned kitchen section during service
Support and step in for the Chef de Partie when required
Ensure all dishes are prepared to specification, quality, and presentation standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation before, during, and after service
Monitor food safety standards, including HACCP, temperature checks, and stock rotation
Minimise waste and support cost control initiatives within the kitchen
Assist in training and mentoring Commis Chefs and junior team members
Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of all food items
Work flexibly across different kitchen sections as required
Contribute to a positive team culture and smooth kitchen operations
What were looking for
Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP and hygiene regulations
Ability to run a section efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
Passion for food, quality, and continuous learning
Ability to support and develop junior team members
Good communication skills and professional attitude
