We are currently recruiting for a new Day Porter to become a part of the team at a gorgeous development in Chelsea (SW10). The porter is the first point of contact for all residents, visitors, and contractors. They must be professional in manner and appearance at all times and available to assist residents, visitors and contractors with any enquiries they may have in a positive, solution-oriented way. Great customer service skills with attention to detail and an outlook to maintaining the highest standards is a must. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with residents and others. Enthusiastic, proactive and positive personality with ability to build trusting relationships with residents, colleagues and others. Main duties and responsibilities: Greet all residents, visitors, and contractors professionally, acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries via phone, email, intercom, and in person. Receive, log, store, and hand over parcels, packages, and keys securely, following ID and authorisation procedures. Maintain accurate resident records, register new residents, issue welcome information, and update the concierge database. Programme and issue door entry fobs/key cards and update intercom systems as required. Log all resident instructions and communications under relevant apartment numbers, ensuring verbal instructions are confirmed in writing. Report complaints, lease breaches (e.g. noise, pets, subletting), and other concerns to the Building Manager promptly. Coordinate access for approved contractors and ensure appropriate permissions are in place. Conduct end-of-shift audits of parcels, keys, and logged items, resolving any discrepancies. Perform weekly regulatory checks (e.g. fire alarms, lift alarms), report faults, and keep inspection logs up to date. Understand and follow site fire and evacuation procedures, including designated evacuation points. Carry out regular building patrols and inspections, identifying and addressing any health, safety, or maintenance issues. Complete porterage tasks such as assisting with deliveries, moving items, and supporting contractors or residents when required. Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all internal and external communal areas (lobbies, corridors, lifts, bin stores, etc.). Manage waste areas, ensure bins are rotated, and address any refuse or recycling issues with contractors. Ensure smooth shift handovers by maintaining detailed Handover Notes and communicating ongoing site matters to team members. General: On site presence for all Shareholders (Porters Lodge) CCTV review and security checks of the courtyard, underground car park Rubbish being put out for the Council to collect Hosing the Courtyard Monitor and maintain fob system Package and Parcel delivery and distribution Overseeing contractors for maintenance attendance Weekly reporting to the managing agent Approachable with basic building knowledge/health & safety & security awareness Hours: Monday to Friday / 08:00-16:00 Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum Location: Chelsea (SW10) If this position is of interest to you, please send your CV across.
