Your future duties and responsibilities In this role, you will design, build, and optimise end-to-end data platforms that enable high-quality, trusted data to drive decision-making and innovation. You will work closely with clients, analysts, and data scientists to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, taking ownership of data pipelines, architectures, and governance practices while contributing to continuous improvement across platforms and processes.You will also play an active role in shaping best practices, mentoring colleagues, and driving innovation across cloud-based data ecosystems, supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment.Design & Deliver scalable ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and curationBuild & Optimise data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouse architecturesArchitect & Model robust, secure, and cost-efficient data solutionsEnable & Support data visualisation and analytics through curated datasetsGovern & Secure data through cataloguing, lineage tracking, and compliance controlsCollaborate & Mentor across teams, supporting knowledge sharing and capability growthImprove & Innovate data platforms using modern tools and emerging technologies Required qualifications to be successful in this role To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in data engineering across modern cloud platforms, with a proven ability to design and deliver scalable data solutions. You will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing environment.You should have demonstrable experience in data engineering or a related fieldStrong proficiency in SQL, Python, or equivalent scripting languagesHands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCPExperience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, MS Fabric, Informatica, Talend)Proven ability to design data architectures, pipelines, and modelsExperience with BI tools such as Power BI or TableauUnderstanding of data governance, security, and compliance practicesStrong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills Together, as owners, let's turn meaningful insights into action.Life at CGI is rooted in ownership, teamwork, respect and belonging.
