You'll play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), collaborating with multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data products into our new data architecture, driving innovation and optimising data utilisation.

We are seeking a hardworking Data Design Engineer to support our data transformation initiatives and contribute to the development of a modern data platform powered by consumer data products.

We're looking for a track record of the required experience shown on a real production platform, a “can-do” attitude, capability of bootstrapping projects, and the ability to effectively work with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable data solutions on GCP, ensuring alignment with our data transformation goals
• Collaborate with data producers and consumers to integrate consumer data products into the data mesh
• Advocate for best practices in data design and GCP usage across the organisation
• Tackle and resolve complex data design challenges
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data architecture and processes
• Align data solutions with group data governance and control frameworks to support overall risk reduction

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in data design and engineering, preferably on Google Cloud Platform
• Strong understanding of data mesh architecture and consumer data products
• Strong understanding of Dimensional and Normalised data modeling
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for data-driven decision-making and innovation
