Data Architect (18-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: London/Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-Time (36 hours/week)

Reports To: Head of Enterprise Architecture

Salary: Up to 74,000

A nationally recognised cultural institution is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the development of its enterprise-wide data strategy and architecture. This role sits at the heart of a significant digital transformation programme, designed to modernise how data is used to support insight, innovation, and operational excellence.

The organisation is globally respected for its work in arts, culture, and education. This is a unique opportunity to influence long-term data direction in a purpose-driven environment, where ethical and sustainable use of data is as important as its technical execution.

Essential experience includes:

• Strong experience in data architecture, with a track record of enterprise-scale strategy and systems integration
• Deep knowledge of Azure data tools (e.g., Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, ADF)
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data modelling, and data lineage
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
