Data and Analytics Manager

Location: London

Reporting To: Deputy CEO

A forward-thinking, employee-owned business based in London is entering a significant growth phase supported by external capital investment. We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Data and Analytics Manager to lead the company’s data journey from the ground up.

This is a pivotal role to design and implement the data strategy, business intelligence initiatives, and data governance frameworks, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new data & analytics team.
• Develop and execute a company-wide data and analytics strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Own reporting and business intelligence, focusing on Power BI and SQL.
• Implement and oversee data governance, ensuring compliance with GDPR, ISO27001, FCA, MAS, and other relevant regulations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business units and technology teams on data initiatives.
• Engage senior stakeholders, including C-suite, to champion data adoption and maximize business value.
• Maintain a hands-on approach in reporting, dashboards, and data visualization development.
• Create a scalable roadmap for data capabilities, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Power BI and SQL skills with hands-on experience in BI/reporting.
• Proven track record in shaping and delivering data strategy and governance, ideally within the insurance sector (Lloyd’s or company market experience preferred).
• Experience building or leading data teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable presenting at senior leadership level.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory data compliance.
• Ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable insights.
• Candidates on a 3-month notice period will be considered.
