We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join a dynamic team within a Lloyd’s insurance broker. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data, accuracy, and delivering actionable insights.


You’ll play a key role in leveraging a modern data warehouse and real-time data capture capabilities to support internal Broking, Underwriting, and Claims teams, as well as clients and the wider London and Company Insurance Markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce, present, and distribute statistical and data analysis on business performance to Underwriters, Clients, and internal teams, ensuring insights are accurate, current, and actionable.
  • Collaborate with Underwriters, Clients, and internal departments to enhance business performance and meet data and reporting needs.
  • Support senior leadership, including the Chief Broking Officer and Head of Broking, in achieving departmental objectives through data-driven insights and special projects.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, and develop analytical prototypes and solutions to improve the company’s analytical capabilities.
  • Monitor, assess, and address data and reporting issues promptly, maintaining high standards of data integrity and supporting innovation initiatives.


Must-Haves:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Data modelling and SQL experience.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar Business Intelligence tools (e.g., QlikView, Domo, Microsoft Power BI).


Skills:

  • Professional experience in a Broker or Data Analytics role within the London or Company Insurance Market (broking or syndicates).
  • Degree in a numerical or computing discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • CII certification (advantageous but not essential).
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
