My client, who is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, polymer additives and precursors, is looking for an experienced Customer Service Coordinator to join their team.
The Role:
To provide support to Customers, External Sales Teams, OMMs, Commercial team, Operations team as and when required.
Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate administration activities relating to the smooth running of the Customer Service base. Proactively dealing with customers with regards to all aspects of customer service including order progression, customer intimacy and looking for innovative ways to provide our customers with the most cost-effective solution. Such activities will include, but are not restricted to: On behalf of the AM's, liaise with different departments within the Eccles site; Accounts, Technical, Logistics along with any others as required, cementing relationships and seeking to anticipate problem areas. Progress the concept of customer intimacy with selected accounts.
Customer Service staff will cover for colleagues in their absence, understanding other colleagues' accounts, and should be prepared to maintain office cover as required.
In co-operation with the AM, understand the benefits/disadvantages of utilising methods of logistics. In conjunction with the AM, negotiate with customers to attain a high level of service at maximum financial benefit to the company.
The Candidate:
Excellent language skills to enable communication in key and sensitive geographic regions.
Must speak French, Italian or Spanish along with English
Computer literate - will be required to be proficient in Microsoft Office, and Sage (preferably).
Good organisational, administrative, analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Ability to work under pressure - disciplined, reliable, conscientious and energetic.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
Previous experience working with and for an international group of salespeople with different style and cultural background would be beneficial.
Knowledge of how to operate in a range of industries both in the UK and global. International terms of Trade, International Logistics, the importance of ensuring payment and the various other aspects of exporting across continents will form part of the role. Customer Service staff need to be intimately aware of the complexities that are often a barrier to doing business across Europe and ROW.
