About the Role: We are currently seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools in the South Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education, whether you are considering a future in teaching or already have classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and that a positive learning environment is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Supporting students to stay engaged with their work

Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues

Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting is highly desirable

Strong communication and classroom management skills

A confident and proactive approach

Ability to adapt to different school environments and subjects

Additional Information:

A valid driving licence is not essential but is highly desirable due to the variety of school locations
