A Top 10 accountancy practice is looking for a Corporate Tax Director to join their Birmingham advisory team. You’ll work closely with Partners but with room to lead independently—owning client relationships, mentoring future leaders, and driving growth in a genuinely collaborative culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading complex tax advisory projects for a portfolio of corporate clients (including large OMBs, PE-backed, and international groups)
• Acting as the main relationship holder, working closely with other service lines to deliver joined‑up solutions
• Helping to shape and deliver the firm’s corporate tax strategy in the West Midlands
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a growing team of high‑potential tax professionals
• Contributing to internal innovation, operational improvement, and national tax quality initiatives
• Driving new business and strengthening the firm’s profile in the region through networking and referral channels

You’ll Need To Be

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (or equivalent)
• Experienced in managing large corporate client relationships, ideally in a Top 50 firm or similar
• A strong technical operator with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture
• Comfortable in the room with C‑suite stakeholders and confident leading high‑value conversations
• A natural mentor and someone who enjoys seeing their team progress
• Driven by quality, not just output—and someone who understands that reputation is everything
