Consulting, Senior Project Manager – Built Environment Take part in delivering complex built environment projects with Bovis. This role is for a senior project manager with built environment and heritage experience, responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, managing project delivery, and ensuring quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction. Determine project management, technical services, and external resources required. Plan, lead, and manage project teams to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions aligned with the project brief. Establish strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and clients to capture requirements and secure approvals. Lead end‑to‑end execution planning and management, defining clear goals and deliverables. Ensure seamless integration of design, development, commissioning, delivery, and process requirements. Report project performance using control tools, including earned value and risk analysis. Manage deliverables and team safety, collaborating with construction managers and external resources for successful delivery. Manage consultant teams and stakeholders to meet scope, fees, claims, and variations. Use strong communication and negotiation skills to support client/customer focus. Maintain conversion program and complete submissions within milestones. Produce design and authorities programs integrated with procurement and delivery schedules. Deliver programme milestones for concept, schematic, detailed design, and design development. Sequence methodology and produce state plans.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience in complex project delivery within live operational environments. Focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters on projects. Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management or construction-related discipline. Knowledge of construction and property industries, estimating, scheduling, field supervision, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls, and reporting. Problem‑solving and analytical skills for planning, estimating, contract administration, and procurement issues. Interpersonal skills to prepare reports, negotiate, and build stakeholder relationships. Proven experience managing project teams in a highly regulated environment. Knowledge of planning and implementation of complex projects with multiple stakeholder interfaces. Track record of delivering integrated and sustainable solutions. Lead Project Management Commissions and end‑to‑end service delivery. Background in communicating project deliverables across regulated industries. Experience leading and influencing internal and external teams across the project lifecycle. Prepared, updated, and implemented project management plans, monitoring progress and mitigating risks. Led design development, surveys, and site visits to write works information aligned with business cases. Contract administration experience, knowledge of NEC suite of contracts. Delivered projects to quality, time, and budget expectations. Written specs, tenders, contracts, risk registers, schedules with procurement colleagues; assessed tenders for contract award. Conducted regular reviews, inspections, and audits. Managed contractors for execution to client expectations; handled payments, EWN, CE, etc. Coordinated third‑party liaison (planning applications, land, access, power supply). Engaged stakeholders for complex third‑party relations.
