Consultant Psychiatrist – Clinical Lead of Gender Service

OverviewNHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this post is 24 hours working a flexible shift pattern. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to work clinically and develop this management role within the NHS GGC Gender Service, based at Candleriggs in Glasgow City Centre. This is the largest multidisciplinary service of its type in Scotland providing care to adults from eight Health Board areas and young people across Scotland.
Responsibilities
The role involves clinical work within the NHS GGC Gender Service and development of the related management responsibilities within the service.
Qualifications and requirements
Full GMC registration, a licence to practice and be on the Specialist Register by the time of starting post.
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to a CCT in Psychiatry or within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview.
Those eligible for specialist registration (CESR) should be in receipt of this at time of interview.
Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
