Location: St Helens
Salary: £40,000 basic + (£50,000–£70,000 OTE via project completion bonus)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and deliver a range of in‑house construction projects, including new-build developments, redevelopments, and mixed‑use schemes. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take full ownership of projects from inception through to completion—ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation where you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of self-storage development. A strong background in project management, budgeting, and analysis is essential, and QS skills are an advantage. While RICS accreditation is preferred, it is not required.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate internal teams, contractors, and third‑party suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Lead projects from planning through to completion, maintaining control of timelines, budget, and scope.
* Produce detailed project scopes for commercial new‑build and refurbishment schemes, ensuring technical feasibility.
* Manage resource allocation, monitor progress, and implement effective verification techniques to control changes.
* Assess project performance, produce management reports, and escalate issues where necessary.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
About You
* Proven background in construction, fit‑out, refurbishment, or building project management.
* Experience delivering steel portal frame new‑build projects (essential).
* Track record of managing projects from cradle to grave.
* Competent with project‑management software.
* Highly organised, analytical, and confident managing multiple concurrent projects.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and manage third‑party relationships.
* Must have the legal right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
