Job Description

Coopman are excited to be working exclusively with a leading Crypto exchange offering a Multi-lateral Trading Facility (MTF) to institutional clients on the hire of a Compliance Senior Manager to support the UK Head of Compliance. This is a generalist role overseeing a team of three Associates.


Key responsibilities of the Compliance Senior Manager:


  • Oversee the firm's adherence with regulations applicable to the MTF side of the business, advising the business on any regulatory developments applicable to them
  • Support with regulatory projects, both locally and globally, to aid the firm's expansion
  • Provide leadership to a small team of Compliance Associate's, conducting one-to-ones, looking at development plans for these members of the team
  • Serve as a primary point for regulatory engagements with the FCA for queries around the business and specifically their Financial Promotions
  • Support first-line operations in bolstering controls and implementing systems around Onboarding and AML/KYC processes


Core experience required of the Compliance Senior Manager:


  • 5+ years Regulatory Compliance experience gained within a Financial Services institution, ideally with exposure to regulations surrounding Crypto/Blockchain technology
  • Direct experience in managing people and small teams and enjoys the development of others
  • Ability to work productively and proactively across flat structures in an agile business, communicating with stakeholders at varying levels
  • Degree educated or relevant professional qualifications desirable
