Compliance & Controls Analyst

FirstGrouphas a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance and Controls Analyst to join their team on a secondment basis for approximately 18–24 months. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to attend theLondonoffice for a minimum of 2 days per week.
The Group Compliance and Controls Analyst will cover a number of responsibilities, including:
- Supporting delivery of the compliance objectives, including administration of the Group's legal and ethical compliance programme
- Testing and reporting on the effectiveness of material financial, operational, compliance and reporting controls.
- Liaise with divisional teams on risk management, including consolidating information at group level, and supporting leadership in preparation and delivery to key stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
Compliance
- Manage the administration of the Group's legal and ethical compliance programme to ensure group-wide employee compliance with key policies and training requirements
- Prepare reporting on compliance with the Group's legal and ethical compliance programme
- Maintain and update the ethics & compliance sections of the employee portal, including preparing new content as appropriate.
- Own and develop the relationship with the Company's external compliance system providers (currently Skillcast), act as the primary point of contact for any technical issues and troubleshoot where necessary.
- Act as first point of contact for internal compliance-related queries.
Controls Testing
- Testing and reporting on the effectiveness of material financial, operational, compliance and reporting controls to support compliance with new corporate governance requirements
- Support the control owners to ensure control deficiencies are resolved appropriately and in a timely manner
- Prepare reporting packs for local management and Head of Controls
Risk Management
- Consolidate divisional risk data and commentary to supporting leadership in preparation and delivery to key stakeholders.
- Supporting Group Resilience and ensuing compliance around key resilience activity, including policy and manuals
Skills/Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience working for a large company
- Demonstrates independence and integrity of the highest standard.
- Proven ability and confidence to engage with peers and senior leaders to gain buy-in and drive change
- Strong commercial awareness and keen interest to improve business performance
- Strong written, verbal communication and inter-personal skills
- Strong analytical skills, attention to details and experience of working within legal and regulatory frameworks
- Resultsdriven self-starter, with the ability to work independently within a fast-paced team, and to tight deadlines at certain points as the business requires.
