A leading US law firm is looking to recruit a mid-level associate (3-5 PQE) into its London Competition team. The firm is recognised for its strong transactional platform and consistent involvement in complex, high-value matters across key global markets.


The Team

The London competition group advises on the full spectrum of EU and UK competition law, with particular strength in merger control, behavioural investigations, and competition litigation. The team acts for major multinational clients, including financial institutions, private equity sponsors and global corporates, carrying a reputation for their integrative approach alongside their US and European offices.


The Role

You will work on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, including:

  • Multi-jurisdictional merger control filings.
  • Cartel and abuse of dominance investigations.
  • Competition litigation before UK and European courts.
  • Advisory work on complex regulatory and compliance issues.


Key Requirements

  • England & Wales qualified (or relevant UK experience) with 3-5 years' PQE.
  • Strong experience gained at a leading competition practice (US, Magic Circle, Silver Circle or top City firm).
  • Excellent academic background and technical grounding in both UK and EU competition law.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to manage complex matters and build client relationships.
