You will handle a variety of property matters, from lease negotiations and property transactions to secured lending, while contributing to the development and expansion of the business through collaborative and innovative approaches.Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting and negotiating commercial leases.Managing acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.Handling secured lending and property finance transactions.Assisting with the property elements of corporate transactions.Providing practical and tailored legal solutions that align with clients’ commercial objectives.Collaborating closely with accountancy partners within the Sumer Group to deliver a high-quality, integrated client service.Supporting the development of the department alongside Sumer’s Head of Legal.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseA qualified and experienced commercial property solicitor with a proven track record.Expertise in managing commercial lease negotiations, property acquisitions, and financing transactions.Proven ability to build and nurture strong client relationships, identify opportunities for cross-selling services, and attract new clients to expand the commercial property portfolio.Experience working with SME clients, providing consultative and commercially aware advice.Experience in analysing market trends and identifying emerging opportunities in the commercial property sector to position the business for growth.Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills for a variety of property-related legal documents.You may be the sort of person who is/has:A growth mindset: Actively seeks opportunities for growth and development across the business as a whole.Is Continuously Improving: Committed to improving technical ability, industry knowledge and personal professional performance.Client-focused: maintains a genuine interest in understanding and addressing client needs and commercial objectives.Collaborative: excels in working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional results.Belong @ SumerAt Sumer, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment, not just as buzzwords, but as the heartbeat of our team.
