Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London-based lcoal authority who are seeking a Commercial Property Lawyer to join them on a contract basis. Please find below further details with regards to this opprotunity.
Job Title: Commercial Property Lawyer Location: South West London (Local Authority) Contract: 3 months (with potential for extension) Hours: 35 hours per week Rate: £35 - £45 per hour umbrella (£40.10ph PAY inc. holiday pay, £35.78ph PAYE exc. holiday pay) Experience Level: NQ to 5 years PQE
Please note that this role would be office attendance 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial property matters. Draft, negotiate, and review leases, licences, assignments, surrenders, and other property-related documentation. Advise on landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals, and property management issues. Support regeneration and development projects, including advice on property transactions and partnerships. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, council policies, and best practice. Work closely with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders. Handle a manageable caseload with supervision (where required for junior candidates).Requirements: Qualified solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive (NQ to 5 years PQE).
