Job Description

I’m working with a PE-backed manufacturing organisation that is growing both organically and through acquisitions. They are now seeking a commercially minded accountant who can partner with the Sales team to drive growth and performance across the business.


Responsibilities include:


  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight that drives strategic decision-making and supports profitable growth.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and pricing strategies.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with PE-backed growth objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse key financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and cost drivers, to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance reports to senior leadership and PE investors, highlighting variances and actionable recommendations.
  • Support commercial negotiations by providing financial analysis on contracts, pricing, and customer profitability.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain operations without compromising quality or service.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with statutory requirements and investor expectations.
  • Collaborate with the PE firm on value creation plans, including scenario analysis and exit strategy preparation.
  • Implement and enhance financial controls and processes to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
  • Act as a key contributor to strategic projects such as M&A activity, capital investment, and new product launches.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to non-financial stakeholders by translating complex data into business-friendly recommendations.


The right person for the role:


You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong experience in manufacturing and a proven ability to build relationships with commercial teams in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability to change is essential, along with a hands-on approach. Package on offer:


  • £75,000 - £90,000
