JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title -Commercial Engineer

Department -Engineering

Responsible for

Lead customer estimating activities for the estimating department Provide commercial support to the engineering COS function.

Main Purpose and Scope of Job -Commercial Engineer

To estimate customer quotations using best practice methodology.
To manage estimating activities between the estimating team.
To provide commercial support in relation to engineering Cost Of Sales.
To review lessons learned from COS data and implement ideas for suture cost savings.
Help to drive continuous improvement programs within the department.
To closely support the engineering team to meet customer demand.
Where required introduce process documentation, in line with the company BMS.

Knowledge & Skills -Commercial Engineer

Key Accountabilities -Commercial Engineer

Estimating CNC machined parts, ensuring quotes are produced in a timely manner.
Preparation of cost estimates to support the acquisition of new business to include relevant requirements.
Work with Supply chain to order materials to customer specification.
