Job Description

One of our clients is looking for a fully qualified Commercial Electrician to join the team of a well-established and large M & E Company.\n\nWe deliver high-quality electrical and mechanical services across commercial and office fit-out projects throughout the UK but mainly cover, London, Gatwick, Berkshire areas. We pride ourselves on excellent workmanship, attention to detail, and supporting the development of our team.\n\nWe are now seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join us on a major office fit-out project.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out electrical installation works on commercial office fit-out projects to BS7671 standards.\n\n * Install containment systems, wiring, lighting, power, and data as per design and specification.\n\n * Read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical schematics.\n\n * Work collaboratively with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth project completion.\n\n * Support and assist apprentices, offering guidance, practical training, and setting a positive professional example.\n\n * Complete daily site diaries and record progress for the electrical team accurately and on time.\n\n * Perform testing, inspection, and commissioning tasks where qualified.\n\n * Ensure all work is completed safely, in line with health & safety policies and site regulations.\n\n * Represent our company professionally when liaising with clients or site representatives.\n\nRequirements\n\n * Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 / AM2 / JIB Gold Card desirable).\n\n * ECS card (Gold or appropriate level).\n\n * Strong commercial and office fit-out experience.\n\n * Knowledge of the latest electrical regulations (18th Edition).\n\n * Ability to supervise and support junior staff/apprentices.\n\n * Good organisational skills and the ability to complete daily reports/diaries.\n\n * Full UK driving licence (company van + fuel card provided).\n\n * Willingness to travel to multiple sites when required.\n\nPackage\n\n * Competitive pay structure (PAYE or CIS depending on arrangement).\n\n * Company van and fuel card Provided\n\n * Pension contributions (if PAYE).\n\n * Ongoing development opportunities.\n\nJob Types: Full-time, Permanent, Freelance\n\nDay Rate for subbies negotiable\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Company car\n\n * Company events\n\n * Company pension\n\n * Employee discount\n\n * Health & wellbeing programme\n\nLocation: London, Gatwick, Berkshire areas we are currently covering\nHours: 7:30am – 4:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)\nContract: Full-time
