A well-established and growing main contractor with an excellent reputation across the industry has a rare and exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Director from within the industrial/construction sector. Known for delivering a personalised service and adapting its approach to suit individual client needs, the company delivers projects valued between £5m and £25m on average. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will lead on the management, direction and successful completion of all client building projects and in helping to shape the future of the business.
The new Commercial Director will Oversee the commercial performance of construction projects from pre-contract through to final account Lead contract negotiation and management with clients, subcontractors and suppliers Develop project budgets, forecasts and financial reports in conjunction with project teams Have control and oversight of all financial aspects of each project, including cash flow and ensuring prompt payment applications and collections Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff Coordinate with site management, planning, legal and finance teams Have responsibility for the risk and co...
