Job Description
Data Analyst – Commercial Business Partnering
Hybrid – 1–2 days/week in Central London
£42,700–£53,700 + bonus
If you're craving a hands-on analytics role that goes beyond the dashboards — where your insights directly inform pricing, product, market expansion, and revenue forecasting — this could be your next move.
I’m working with a global entertainment & brand engagement business that has evolved far beyond its publishing roots. Now operating at the intersection of media, brand consultancy, and digital content, they’re building out a smarter, more scalable approach to commercial insight — and they’re hiring a Data Analyst to help drive that forward.
The Role
This is a rare standalone analytics role within the Commercial Business Partnering team — giving you end-to-end ownership of how data supports decision-making across sales, marketing, pricing, publishing, and even venue launches. You’ll be partnering with stakeholders across five continents, creating actionable insights from systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Google Analytics, and working directly with the CFO.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partnering with commercial teams to define, explore and answer business questions
- Connecting multiple data sources (Salesforce, NetSuite, GA) into Power BI and DOMO dashboards
- Owning reporting automation and training business units to self-serve
- Deep-diving into pricing, product performance, and market trends
- Helping forecast average deal value, commercial effectiveness, and geographic expansion
- Playing a key role in the budgeting and strategic planning cycles
- Supporting major digital transformation initiatives — including Salesforce integration and BI modernisation
- Exploring how predictive analytics and ML (via DOMO) could support smarter revenue forecasting
Tech Stack
- Power BI (main dashboard tool)
- DOMO (in early stages of adoption)
- Salesforce, NetSuite, Google Analytics
- SQL and Python (used internally — you’ll be expected to be hands-on with SQL at a minimum)
Who This Role Would Suit
- 3–5 years of analytics experience, ideally in a digital, retail, or media business
- Confident working independently in a small team — a self-starter who enjoys building from scratch
- Strong communicator, able to work closely with non-technical stakeholders and guide them through data
- Commercially-minded — you think beyond metrics and always bring it back to the business
- Comfortable digging around in data lakes, wrangling messy datasets, and telling a clear story
Why Apply?
- Full ownership over commercial data across a global brand
- Involvement in pricing, forecasting, and transformation projects
- Flat, collaborative team — report to the CFO, not buried under layers
- 1pm Friday finishes, private healthcare, learning budgets, and flexible working
- Real opportunity to make your mark and shape the data strategy from the ground up
If you're looking for something hands-on, visible, and genuinely cross-functional, this is one not to miss.
