What You Will Do

  • Create and maintain a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers. You will achieve this through business development and promotion of the Metro Bank brand and products.
  • You need to build key relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to maximise the customer relationship whilst being compliant during customer interactions with awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • Make lending decisions to support Metro Bank’s business objectives whilst reinforcing the correct Metro Bank operational processes and ensuring we get things right the first time for the customer.
  • Responsible for credit risk and financial crime risk of your portfolio.
  • Ability to generate new business.
  • Support retail colleagues in local Stores.
  • Portfolio and relationship management experience.
  • Track record of generating new business.
  • Hitting or exceeding personal and business objectives.

What You Will Need

  • Excellent communication and customer/client relationship management with the ethos of providing exceptional customer service.
  • A self starter, motivated to meet or exceed your own personal and business objectives.
  • Ability to build rapport internally and externally.
  • Sound knowledge of commercial banking.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the products we offer.
  • Ability to understand and write credit papers to the required level.
  • Awareness of financial crime and "what good looks like".
  • Portfolio and relationship management experience.
  • Track record of generating new business.
  • Hitting or exceeding personal and business objectives.
  • Any other duties as required that reasonably fall within the role.
