Are you a CNC Turner with experience in lathe turning looking to join an industry-leading forging company, working on large-scale, high-precision components as part of a skilled team in a days-based Monday to Friday role?

Established in the 19th century, this long-standing heavy engineering specialist delivers high-integrity forged and machined components into critical sectors including aerospace, defence, marine, nuclear, oil & gas and power generation. The company focuses on large-scale, complex, tight-tolerance components, offering in-house open die forging, machining, heat treatment and testing capabilities, supplying fully finished components across the globe.

In this role, you will set up and operate manual lathes and boring machines to produce large, high-precision components, working from complex engineering drawings and route cards. You'll plan machining methods, select tooling, speeds and feeds, and carry out dimensional inspections and in-process checks to ensure quality standards are met. You'll also troubleshoot and make adjustments where required, use overhead cranes for material movement, and maintain a safe, clean working environment within a heavy engineering setting.

This role would suit a CNC Turner or Manual Machinist with experience in lathe turning or deep hole boring, looking for a stable, days-based Monday to Friday role within a heavy engineering environment working on large, high-precision components.

The Role:
Set up and operate manual lathes and boring machines on large-scale components
Interpret complex engineering drawings and route cards
Troubleshoot and adjust machining processes to maintain quality and output
Use overhead cranes for safe material movement (LOLER training provided)
Days-based role, Monday to Friday
The Person:
Experience operating manual lathes and/or deep hole boring machines
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
Commutable to Dudley
