Vacancy: CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator

Location: Milton Keynes

Hours: Monday-Thursday (14:00-22:00) & Friday (13:00-20:00)

GPS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator

to manufacture high precision CNC milled and turned components from solid and cast in wide range of metals and plastics. We are offering one position within our late shift.

The successful candidate will hold an integral role within the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing team. Setting and operating a range of machining centres across the facility.

Experience and competencies:

* An experienced Programmer/Setter/Operator across Mazak and Doosan CNC machine centres, ideally within a fast-paced precision engineering and prototype environment

* A good working knowledge of either Fanuc or Mazatrol controls

* Good understanding of Engineering drawings and be proficient in carrying out in-process dimensional and visual checks using the appropriate measurement equipment

* Experienced in machining a wide range of metals and plastics

* Good communication with ability to relay clear and concise feedback to operators and engineers

* Work efficiently to deadlines

* Ability and willingness to mind multiple machines when required

* Confidently work with a level of autonomy and problem solve

Salary circa £20 per hour + 25% Shift Allowance – Realistic earning potential 50K
