CNC Setter/Operator

Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 – 12:30 Friday

Salary: £15.00 – £20.00 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities of a Multi Skilled CNC Setter/Operator:

* Set and operate CNC turning and milling machines

* Work with Fanuc, Hurco and Mazatrol control systems

* Set and/or operate a range of CNC machinery producing precision components

* Monitor machining processes to ensure parts meet quality standards

* Manufacture complex engineered components to tight tolerances

* Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

* Carry out machining operations including tapping, drilling, face milling and shoulder milling

* Load, operate and maintain machinery safely and efficiently

* Use key measuring tools to ensure accuracy and compliance

* Work collaboratively within a precision engineering environment

* Operate sliding head machines where required (advantageous)

Key Skills of a Multi Skilled CNC Setter/Operator:

* Proven experience setting and operating CNC turning and milling machines

* Understanding of CNC machine tool operation and processes

* Ability to produce intricate milled and turned components

* Experience with sliding head machines advantageous

* Confident working to fine tolerances with high accuracy

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* Skilled in using precision measuring equipment

* Methodical, analytical and detail-focused approach

* Flexible, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
