CNC Programmer/Operator Birmingham (Shop-Floor Based)
Salary: £35,000£40,000 per annum

MondayThursday: 07:0016:00
Friday: 07:0013:00
Benefits: Early Friday finish, overtime available, 28 days holiday per year
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer/Operator to join our Birmingham-based team (Hockley). This is a hands-on, shop-floor role supporting our machining operations to ensure high-quality output and efficient production.
While Hypermill experience is an advantage , we welcome applicants with a solid CNC programming background who are willing to learn new systems.
A collaborative mindset is essential, were looking for a genuine team player , not a maverick.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set, and operate CNC machinery to meet production requirements
Interpret and work from technical drawings and 3D models
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimise machining strategies
Perform tooling setup, machine adjustments, and first-off inspections
Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and safety
Support continuous improvement initiatives across machining processes
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator
Hypermill experience preferred but not essential
Must live within the Birmingham area or have a reasonable daily commute to Hockley
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
