03:00 Night shifts Occasional weekend work required Start Date Immediate Company Overview Our Client works for Company's and support critical industries including power generation and defence and are continuing to expand our CNC capabilities to support growth. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator with strong hands-on experience using Siemens-controlled CNC milling machines . The role involves a combination of CAM-based programming and on-machine work , with the majority of new jobs programmed offline using Fusion 360 from 3D solid models (STEP files) . Candidates must be confident working in a model-driven CAM environment and taking jobs from model or drawing through to finished component with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Program, set, and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines using Siemens controls Create CNC programs using Fusion 360 CAM , primarily from STEP / 3D models Carry out on-machine program edits where required Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation Select tooling, set datums, and adjust offsets Prove out new programs safely and efficiently Machine components to tight tolerances across a variety of materials Perform quality checks using micrometres, verniers, height gauges, etc. Monitor tooling condition and optimise cutting performance Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices Work flexibly to meet production deadlines and changing workloads Communicate effectively with supervisors and wider team Essential Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (Milling) Strong Siemens CNC control experience (recent and hands-on) Ability to set up jobs independently and run work unsupervised Confident working to tight tolerances Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds Competent using manual measuring equipment Additional Essential (Process-Critical) Requirements Fusion 360 CAM programming experience Regular experience programming directly from STEP / 3D solid models Comfortable working in a model-driven CAM workflow , not solely from 2D drawings ?Candidates without Fusion 360 CAM and STEP-file programming experience will not be considered.
